Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure meals meet nutritional requirements
- Utilize culinary skills to create visually appealing and flavorful dishes
- Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
- Safely handle and operate kitchen equipment, including knives, slicers, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling and storage
- Collaborate with the food service team to ensure efficient meal service
- Contribute to menu planning and suggest new dishes or modifications
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary role or related field preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
