Foster Garvey PC, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading law firms, is looking for a Cash Receipts Specialist for to join the Accounting Department in the Seattle Office. Candidates should be motivated, proactive, professional, detail-oriented and customer service focused. Excellent organizational skills and high data entry quality are important.

The candidate would initially be working from home on a full-time basis, subject to modifications in accordance with government announcements. Once the restrictions are lifted, the position location would be based from our Seattle office.

This is a full–time onsite position from our Seattle office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be necessary to accommodate client needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate is committed to excellent customer service both internally with our attorneys and administrative departments, as well with firm clients. They are a team player with a strong working knowledge of Cash Receipts procedures in a professional services organization, along with a keen eye for detail. They would be responsible for all aspects of processing, recording, and reporting Cash Receipts.

  • Process all client payments daily, reconcile cash postings (all types) and prepare associated cash receipt reports as needed
  • Researches and processes unidentified receipts timely and accurately
  • Communicate directly with Attorneys, staff and clients regarding Cash Receipts statuses

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail, able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, firm leadership and staff
  • Self-motivated, proactive and responsible individual able to work under minimal supervision
  • Solid analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality with client and other sensitive information

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field, and 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Legal or professional services organization experience is preferred
