Job description

We are looking for a Cash Posting Specialist responsible for ensuring that customer payments (regular, default, and bankruptcy) and payoffs are posted accurately and timely. 
 
Your specific duties will include:
  • Process standard mortgage loan payments
  • Process mortgage payoffs per standard procedures
  • Process non-standard payments, such as bankruptcy payments, vendor payments (Mortgage Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Taxing authorities, etc.) reversal sales, etc.
  • Research exception items that do not reconcile
  • Process reversal transactions
  • Process and monitor the disbursement of suspense funds, ensuring funds are processed within servicing guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Communicate with various departments, including Senior Management, to resolve issues or inaccuracies in a timely manner.
Specific qualifications for the position include
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates preferred.
  • 3-5 years cash posting/handling experience required, in a mortgage or commercial bank.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize meeting deadlines and communicate effectively.
  • Ten keys by touch are also required.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
