We are looking for a Cash Posting Specialist responsible for ensuring that customer payments (regular, default, and bankruptcy) and payoffs are posted accurately and timely.
Your specific duties will include:
- Process standard mortgage loan payments
- Process mortgage payoffs per standard procedures
- Process non-standard payments, such as bankruptcy payments, vendor payments (Mortgage Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Taxing authorities, etc.) reversal sales, etc.
- Research exception items that do not reconcile
- Process reversal transactions
- Process and monitor the disbursement of suspense funds, ensuring funds are processed within servicing guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Communicate with various departments, including Senior Management, to resolve issues or inaccuracies in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associates preferred.
- 3-5 years cash posting/handling experience required, in a mortgage or commercial bank.
- Must have the ability to prioritize meeting deadlines and communicate effectively.
- Ten keys by touch are also required.
