Description
The Cash Management Officer is responsible for acquisition of new business relationships and management of a deposit relationship portfolio. This position will focus on the development of new Cash Management business, expansion of existing business relationships and on-going support of current bank clients.
The Cash Management Officer will develop business deposit relationships with customers and promote business for the Bank by maintaining strong customer relationships and referral of additional products as needed while bringing in the appropriate sales partners to further enhance the customer experience.
The Officer focuses on attaining department and Bank goals, with a strong emphasis on sales strategies, supporting revenue growth and business development efforts.
The Cash Management Officer will comply with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Functions:

  • Develops new business relationships through active calling efforts, receipt of internal referrals and referrals from existing clients. The Cash Management Officer is expected to generate the majority of new business through their own marketing efforts.
  • Manages all elements of the Cash Management sales cycle including business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis and close of sale.
  • Provides clients with support to successfully integrate them into the Bank's systems by following Bank procedures and ongoing assistance as needed.
  • Actively oversees existing portfolio of clients focusing on fee income, efficiency improvement, and customer retention, while managing bank risk.
  • Prepares contracts and implementation documentation, in accordance with all account opening, account ownership verification and Cash Management services set-up processes; reviews and checks documents for completeness, accuracy and in compliance with applicable rules/regulations and procedural requirements.
  • Oversees complex customer set up and corporate structures
  • Represents the Bank in various community and civic functions to further enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business; assists the Bank in establishing and maintaining market position in all Bank markets.
  • Identifies Cross sell opportunities of the Bank's other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated.
  • Processes, solves, and answers complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries with manager oversight.
  • Serve as the internal Bank expert for Cash Management products and services, delivers internal Cash Management presentations, and actively participates in sales meetings.
  • Attain and exceed sales goals as assigned.

Skills:
  • Proven sales and negotiating skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong customer and internal relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, bank products and services.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Advanced computer skills required, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn new software.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills-ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and follow through

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work related experience must consist of Cash Management services including implementation, product knowledge, in-depth specialty software knowledge and experience in the financial services industry.
  • Significant sales experience is highly desired.
