- Comply with all State, regulatory and BHG requirements for quality patient care, confidentiality and privacy
- Provide Counseling and TCM services to patients
- Work with local agencies to develop a pipeline of resources (jobs, housing, etc.)
- Communicate with patients regularly and answer their questions
- Orient patients to the treatment center’s programs, services, operations and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date, complete, accurate, well-organized and comprehensive patient records
- Provide intake/readmission services, including several weeks of supportive follow-up counseling for new patients until a primary counselor has been assigned
- Conduct case management sessions with patients as needed from admission to discharge from treatment
- Collect available social, educational, economic, and vocational information to be used as part of the assessment process
- Provide inter-agency reports/documentation required for third party reimbursement, criminal justice proceedings, supplemental income assessments, emergency services, and other specialized treatment needs of patients as applicable
- Coordinate care with other community providers as needed
- Additional responsibilities as required
- 0-2 years of experience in behavioral health, preferably in an outpatient setting
- The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Arts/Science degree in a behavioral science or human services field, and be pursuing licensure as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Candidates who meet the educational requirements, but not the licensure requirements, are encouraged to apply. The candidate must comply with federal and state regulations regarding certification, licensure and degree.
