Salary:

The Case Aide Specialist position is responsible for providing a support function to social work clients with respect to families and children in care. Including a variety of administrative services in support of case management duties assigned to a Social Worker. The Specialist position is responsible for the mentoring and advising of up to four additional Case Aides.


Position Responsibilities


  • Receives and organizes client paperwork per compliance requirements and processing deadlines; monitors ongoing cases by obtaining periodic case update information and updating various systems.
  • Monitors and prioritizes incoming requests from agency staff; processes and responds to these as tickets, resolving them in a timely manner according to priority.
  • Provides supports services to Intake and ongoing staff through the completion of various activities such as but not limited to documentation of home visits, home studies, and placements
  • May interact with clients by collecting signatures on forms and occasionally coordinating home visits
  • Provides documentation support to agency employees and associates
  • Performs administrative support for case information and requests, including entering, reviewing, processing, filing, scanning, and uploading, as well as maintaining document repositories (hardcopy and electronic).
  • Attends supervisory, unit, department, and agency meetings and participates accordingly by providing suggestions or ideas that will aid timely and effective support services.
  • Prepares reports, letters, and emails as needed and monitors email, text, and phone for the caseworker.
  • Disseminates information in response to requests for information and requests from governmental or private entities, while protecting client and case confidentiality.
  • Electronic delivery of documents/items to attorneys, agencies, and other service providers.
  • Oversees the work products of the other Case Aides, checking for quality and timeliness.
  • Mentors new Case Aides.
  • Act as an escalation resource to Case Aides as needed
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to Case Aides regarding effective techniques and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Offers suggestions and ideas for process and service level improvement
  • Promotes and intentionally works to foster an environment and culture of inclusion and equity
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with computer-related equipment, including standard MS Office applications and video/teleconferencing platforms
  • Able to build a deep knowledge of agency policies and procedures
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and full coverage auto insurance
  • Must successfully complete background screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States


Education and Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, social work / human services, or a related field
  • Child welfare experience
  • Clerical experience

Desired:

  • Licensed Social Worker
