We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter or an Apprentice Carpenter to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
As a Carpenter or Apprentice Carpenter at Fraser Construction Company, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
For Carpenter:
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall using hand and power tools.
- Constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture.
- Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
- Ensuring worksites are safe, clean, and organized.
For Apprentice Carpenter:
- Assisting experienced Carpenters with various tasks.
- Gaining proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Supporting the team in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
- Continuously improving your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training.
Qualifications:
For Carpenter:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Own transportation.
For Apprentice Carpenter:
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing carpentry skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Willingness to take direction and learn from experienced Carpenters.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Own transportation.
