Cargo Agent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Ravn Alaska Cargo Agent is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of all cargo and mail according to Federal Law and Company Policy. This position involves both a warehouse environment, working outdoors in all conditions, transporting cargo and mail and loading/unloading freighters. The Cargo Agent must handle customer items with respect, treat company equipment with care and maintain their workspace cleanliness. Other responsibilities aligned with Ravn Alaska Core Values include but are not limited to:

• Upholding safety by complying with all aircraft safety regulations, upholding policies and procedures established in the Company Airport Operations Manual (AOM) in regard to marshaling, refueling, towing, and driving while on airport property.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate previous cargo or warehouse experience, customer service experience, strong math skills, and the ability to multitask. Other qualifications include:

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a public setting with multiple employees and distractions.
• Must be able to work extended periods of time in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to operate various equipment as related to the position and duties involved.
• Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 70 lbs. while bending, twisting, and stooping to perform job.
• Must have a strong proficiency with computers.
• Must have exceptional attendance and punctuality.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
