is seeking a Caregiving Study Interviewerto join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) located in Bethesda, MD.

Overall Position Summary and Objectives
Under this task order, the contractor will independently provide support services to satisfy operational objectives of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.

Deliverables:
  • Meet with lab members to present updates - Weekly
  • Work products and documents related to conducting informed consent and enrolling participants in the study. - Daily
  • Maintain communication with participants and their families. - Daily
  • Conduct scheduled interviews with study participants following completion of informed consent. - Ad-Hoc
  • Evaluate each case and all study results - Ad-Hoc
  • Work products and documents related to collecting data through survey and interviews with participants - Daily
  • Work products and documents related to performing preliminary analyses of data to address behavioral and social science research questions - Weekly
  • Co-authoring reports and research papers for publication; preparing scientific slides, graphics, and PowerPoint presentations - Ad-Hoc
Work Details:
  • Collect data through interviews with participants 1
  • Communicate with participants directly to schedule appointments. 2
  • Participate in data collection and communicate with participants, as needed, for behavioral and social science research 3
  • Perform preliminary analysis of data to address behavioral and social science research questions 4
  • Enter data into research database and perform data queries. 5
  • Assists physicians and research staff with patient data collection.
  • Conduct initial screening with participants as part of scheduling call or visit
  • Assist physicians and research staff with patient data collection on patients seen in research study.
  • Maintain communication with participants and their families
  • Conduct informed consent and enroll participants in the study
  • Support the Clinical Research Coordinator in the overall study coordination
  • Assist with the facilitation of all, on the ground aspects of the study
  • Updates databases related to study activities.
  • Recruits and schedules subjects, both normal controls and patients.
  • Ensures all medical reports are completed and informed consent signed in time for patient meetings.
  • Review all Informed Consents for accuracy, completion and compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Ensure that the original informed consent document is placed in the medical record and a copy is sent to the participant.
  • Work with staff on the initial consenting process of participants.
  • Prepares and mails study materials to participants.
  • Send patient appointment reminder cards twice per week.
  • Analyzes, updates and monitors databases related to study activities.
  • Enter data into research database and perform data queries.
  • Update and maintain research databases; perform basic data analysis.
  • Independently recruits and schedules subjects, both normal controls and patients.
  • Respond to questions from participants regarding general study procedures.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 represents priority rankings, where 1 is highest priority and 5 is lowest priority of those ranked

Minimum Education

Bachelor's
