Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional at Knapp Whippoorwill will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily living activities.

Available Openings

• 6:00am - 2:00pm on rotating Weekends and Holidays
• 6:00am - 9:00am on Weekdays

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities in their daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Provide community activities
• Assist with medication administration
• Document and report any changes in individuals' health or behavior
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other team members
• Adhere to all policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

The Direct Support Professional must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and assist individuals with mobility as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position may include exposure to individuals with challenging behaviors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 – 20 per week
