Caregiver - Itasca

Job Description: Male Veteran in Itasca needs help with all ADL's and transfers. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with bed bound individuals, and must possess a patient, understanding, and empathetic demeanor.
Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to the lady living with dementia.
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
• Accompany the lady to medical appointments and engage in recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the lady, ensuring her comfort and well-being.
• Monitor and report any changes in the lady's condition to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Offer assistance with light household chores as needed.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in caregiving, preferably transferring individuals
• Empathetic and patient nature with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with the lady and her family.
• Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to providing consistent care.
• Must be able to provide references from previous caregiving positions.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not required.
