Caregiver - Assisted Living (Part-Time) At The Sanctuary Of Geneva

The Sanctuary Of Geneva in Geneva, OH is looking for two part-time caregivers to join our 39 person strong team. Caregiver positions would be for day shift and/or evening shift (4, 5, or 8 hours shifts). We are located on 200 Commerce Place. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Follow the assistance plan in providing services to residents.
• Assist in the development and updating of each residents assistance plan.
•   Do personal laundry for residents if so requested in the assistance plan.
• Assist in serving meals, bussing tables and resident transportation to meals.
• Assist in housekeeping duties to maintain clean and orderly surroundings for all residents of The Sanctuary of Geneva.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility.
• Follow-bathing schedule established for residents.
• Encourage socialization among residents.
• Assist with the activity program.
• Encourage and/or remind residents to participate in programs. Promote programs enthusiastically to pique residents interest. Transport residents to activity program as necessary.
•  Monitor health, safety and well-being of residents.
•  Provide one-on-one support and visitation to residents as necessary.
• Report concerns about residents to co-workers.
• Respond in an expedient manner to call-lights.
• Identify supplies needed to perform tasks and report needs to supervisor.
•  Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools and utensils.
• Secure emergency assistance, including 911, as necessary.
• Document and report all care appropriately.

Qualifications

• Training/experience as a nursing assistant or home health aide, or completion of a Sanctuary personal care training.
• Skills in nurturing and organizing similar to those in a domestic household.
• Experience or interest in working with the elderly
• Maturity, friendliness and enjoyment in working with people.
• Demonstrate and ability to read, write and understand information and directions in English.
• A minimum of sixteen years of age.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.50 - $16.50/hour.
