Caregiver 2Nd Shift

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Alger Heights Senior Living in Grand Rapids. Currently we have 2nd and shift available! Are you passionate about caregiving and making a difference in people's lives, but like to sleep in? Our shift times are 3pm-11pm. This shift offers so much time with the residents and allows for a good work-life balance.

Exciting responsibilities await you:

• Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to: dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting
• Engage the residents, encouraging involvement within the community
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Assess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkers
• Assist other team members with their duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements we ask of you:

• Serious applicants only
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with the elderly, preferred
• Must be 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Every other weekend is required
• A positive attitude and the ability to arrive on time for every shift
