GENERAL FUNCTION: Expedites the movement of parts and material between production areas by lifting or otherwise moving raw materials and/or parts. Prepares and coordinates schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and regulate the production floor space. Safely operates the appropriate equipment (forklifts, hoist, cranes, etc.) required to move materials along production floor. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Positions forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch. Loads, stacks and unstack; transports or unloads material per orders or verbal instructions. Completes and submit daily records as required; Ability to calculate weight or material to be lifted and select proper lifting techniques and devices to be used; Performs general housekeeping/clean up in assigned work areas; and other duties as assigned; Works under supervision
“MH02”
Operates appropriate capacity transport system (forklift); Maintains knowledge of parts and materials required in the production process; Pulls and delivers materials as requested. Typically has 1-2 years of related experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Work requires an understanding of the organization of materials, the location of workstations and loading and storage requirement of materials. Operation of forklift is essential. Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions. Have the ability to function as a team member and to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Completion of a standard high school education or the equivalent or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities; forklift certification (required)
