We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Coordinator - Medical Assistant to join our team in Lewisville, TX. Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of patients throughout their treatment journey
- Coordinate patient care and treatment plans with healthcare providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with treatment plans and follow-up appointments
- Communicate regularly with patients to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns
- Obtain and review medical records and other pertinent documents
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in electronic health records (EHR) system
- Collaborate with the scheduling and intake teams to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Assist in scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments
- Coordinate transportation for patients as needed
- Handle inbound communication and redirect as necessary
- Adhere to all applicable privacy and confidentiality regulations
Requirements
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role
- Experience in orthopedics, neurology, or a related field preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
