Cardiovascular Technician (Ft Day) - Cardiac Cath Lab - Newark, Nj

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of ICVL lab procedures.

• Assumes responsibility for patient preparation, care, and monitoring before, during and after procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control.
• Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
• Assists the physician during the performance of the diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider Certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Maintains RCVT or RT certification requirements
• Additional Certifications may be required
• Additional experience/ training maybe required based on departmental specific needs

HOURS:

• Working 4 -10's Monday-Friday, holidays off
• Department is open 6am-8pm - shifts vary
• On call rotation requirement
