Form of workThe Cardiology Tech is responsible for ensuring all EKG performed are processed appropriately. This includes the transfer of EKG's to the intellispace Data Management system, preparation of EKG's for Physician interpretation and the reconciliation of these EKG's to an order and ensure Charges are posted. In addition, the Cardiology tech will complete outpatient EKG's and Holter Monitor studies as ordered. Education and Training:
Successful completion of vocational or technical training in cardiac anatomy and physiology preferred.
Experience:
One year experience as an EKG Technician in a busy medical setting is required. EST on-the-job training under an experienced technician or technologist required
Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:
CPR within three (3) months of hire
Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International as Cardio-graphic Technician strongly preferred.
