The opportunity

• Gildan is currently recruiting for Carding Machine Technicians for the Mocksville facility. Technicians will be responsible for the efficient operation of machines in a yarn manufacturing environment.
• Positions available are on both Day and Night Shifts

The role

• As a technician, each member of the team will work to keep the manufacturing equipment running safely, efficiently, and smoothly.
• Each technician will need to have the flexibility to work overtime and on a call-in schedule to support manufacturing needs.
• The Technician is the first one called when a machine starts to malfunction. They are responsible for diagnosing the issue and making the corresponding repairs. They are also responsible for routine maintenance. They are quite literally the oil that keeps a machine running.

What you will bring to the role

Knowledge & Professional Experience

• Minimum of 1-year Ring Spinning Technical Experience preferred
• Minimum of 1-year Electrical Maintenance Knowledge & Experience preferred

Attributes

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Understand and demonstrates skills in maintenance
• Good hand & eye coordination with hand dexterity
• Ability to work in a cotton environment
