ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech works in a cardiac laboratory, where they assist physicians with invasive cardiac laboratory procedures and perform various cardiac tests using a variety of cardiology equipment to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions.
Other duties that they may have include: setting up procedure rooms, getting patients ready for procedures, gathering and documenting patient information, helping physicians with procedures by circulating and cleaning, being proficient in X-ray fluoroscopy, obtaining, measuring, and calculating hemodynamic data, performing blood work analysis, operating intracardiac ultrasound, cleaning procedure rooms, and preparing instruments for sterilization.

QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. ARRT-R and license as required by State, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required.
2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
6. Proficient computer skills.
