Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the general supervision of the Cardiology Manager, the Cath Lab Lead Technician in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs.
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmia recognition.
- Complies with principles of sterile technique.
- Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
- Responds within 30 minutes when on call.
- support and help supervise the daily activities of the Cath Lab including assignment of cases and assignment of ancillary tasks in collaboration with nursing
- Assist with training and monitoring of educational competencies of the Cath Lab Techs
- Oversee and manage equipment/supply usage and ordering
- Oversee orientation/training of new staff to the Cath Lab
- Oversee Dose Watch program
- Support any other initiates within the department that are within scope of practice to drive improvements and best practice
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Cardiovascular Training program
- Current BCLS & ACLS Certification required. RCIS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab tech role, prefer prior leadership position.
