This position coordinates and supports the effective operation of the Capstone Program (Jim’s JA BizTown and JA Finance Park) simulation assuring quality and effectiveness of the student, teacher, and volunteer experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of Capstone simulations for all student participants
  • Work with school district representatives to provide information and resolve inquiries related to program implementation/funding and evaluation, and when students are onsite for simulation participation.
  • Develop and implement tools to provide required information for teachers and students.
  • Steward relationships with educators and volunteers; write thank you letters and maintain records.
  • Process student/class registrations and maintain records.
  • Obtain quotes for product supplies and purchase supplies in a timely manner and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare a monthly schedule for site cleaning; inspect, update, and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate with appropriate school departments to ensure students are properly scheduled.
  • Ensure capstone facility is ready to accommodate students when scheduled.
  • Support Diversity & Inclusion efforts throughout organization from students and volunteers to partners.
  • Other projects as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A high school degree or equivalent experience; an associate degree is preferred. Prior experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience working in education and/or with school-aged children highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills; strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Advanced computer skills.
