We're actively seeking a talented Capital Management Senior Associate to join our Enterprise Capital Management (ECM) function under Corporate Treasury department in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote .
In this impactful role reporting to the Director of ECM, we are looking for someone to drive towards the target operating model for ECM, prioritize the list of critical capabilities, redesigning processes, systems and experiences to operate more effectively and efficiently while creating greater access to data to make better informed decisions. This individual will help support strategic change positioning ECM to provide thought leadership and advice to stakeholders across the enterprise. The highest order of priority will be leading Enterprise Capital Modeling & Assessment and Enterprise Capital Reporting & Process. There will be significant interaction with key leaders in the Retail, Institutional, and our Reinsurance business segments as well as Corporate Accounting, Risk, Finance and other corporate areas as needed.
How you will make an impact:
• Execute accurate, timely and detailed Capital Adequacy, Solvency and Excess Capital calculations and reporting requirements
• Assist in developing best-in-class capital planning and forecasting under all capital lenses with bridge between lenses
• Facilitate internal capital allocation and request processes in accordance to established methodology and policy
• Assist in developing capital optimized strategic asset allocation and inforce capital management framework
• Leverage technology to improve/automate internal production processes
• Support ah-hoc capital management initiatives as needed
The experience you will bring:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Capital Management, Capital Modeling, Risk Management or Financial Engineering (Annuity and/or Life Insurance preferred)
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to influence business decisions at all levels of the organization
• Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work-streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
What will make you stand out:
• Deep affinity and hands-on experience of the RBC, Solvency II, Bermuda and Rating Agency capital models
• A degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification attainted/in-process e.g., CFA, ASA a plus
• Advanced MS Office skills including experience with data analytics/visualization software is preferred
Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$113,700.00 - $142,100.00 - $191,900.00
