ABOUT US

Maggie’s Farm is an independently owned and operated cannabis producer known for our premium sun-grown organic cannabis in Colorado and New Mexico. We’re currently looking for a new member of our New Mexico production team, which is responsible for all processes required to transform beautiful cannabis plants into manicured flower and pre-rolls that are ready for sale. Those processes include harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, packaging and overall quality control.

At Maggie’s Farm, you’d be joining a small tight-knit team of processors and cultivators that are passionate about producing some of the highest quality cannabis in the state. And if you don’t know anything about cannabis, that’s okay because we are happy to teach you. If you have experience working in the industry, even better! This is an entry-level position with opportunities to grow with the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and execute all duties according to standard operating procedures
  • Learn and comply with all state regulations as it relates to handling cannabis and working in the cannabis industry
  • Hand trim cannabis buds using shears/scissors and manufacture cannabis pre-rolls according to quality and efficiency standards
  • Breakdown plants, removing stems leaves by hand or mechanically
  • Safely operate mechanical equipment according to all instructions and guidelines
  • Be flexible to learn and perform various procedures to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Use scales to collect precise weights and accurately record that information
  • Learn to spot defects in products and exercise great attention to detail in the quality control process
  • Work quickly and efficiently to achieve productivity goals while maintaining quality standards
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of trim stations and the workspace overall
  • Act in accordance with company policies around time and attendance

EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL NEW EMPLOYEES INCLUDE

  • 30-day probationary period begins on first day
  • If employee does not perform to standard in first 30 days they may be terminated
  • Pay rate: $14.00/hr

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Hand trimming is a core function of this role and requires the ability to use scissors continually for up to 7.5 hours per day
  • Repeated bending, twisting and lifting
  • Repetitive hand, wrist and shoulder movements
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time
  • Standard schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional required overtime

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to focus on task for a long period of time
  • Accuracy and consistency in trimming
  • Ability to accurately weigh and measure
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to operate and adhere to the highest standards of compliance and professionalism

The entry-level Production Technician is primarily responsible for trimming cannabis buds and acting as the last line of defense in spotting quality defects prior to sale. This position requires dexterity, organizational skills, and careful attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment. You can expect to spend most of your time standing or sitting in the same space for long periods of time while hand trimming cannabis buds according to our high standards of quality and efficiency.
