Cannabis Operations Kitchen Technician

We are currently seeking a Kitchen Technician to join our team at the Oneida Indian Nation's 50,000-square-foot cannabis grow facility in Verona, NY supporting the Lab Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a cannabis cultivation facility. You will work closely with the Lab Manager and assist in coordinating all aspects of the post process, ensuring that the team follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements, and maintains high-quality standards.

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED - The ideal candidate for this role must be available to work on weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Produce cannabis-infused edibles while maintaining the strict laws and guidelines set by the Oneida Cannabis Commission to ensure all products are manufactured within the confines of the law.
• Assist Kitchen lead in the creation of new recipes and products.
• Learn various recipes and methods of preparation of medicated products.
• Meet set production deadlines by working efficiently with a sense of urgency.
• Meticulously record all work performed when creating recipes and produce final procedures for each recipe created.
• Check products and pull random samples to monitor quality and consistency.
• Maintain inventory of all infused edible products.
• Keep track of non-medicated products and monitor levels of raw materials.
• Maintain correct sanitation for work areas, and sanitation logs, checking for any possible health code violations, and mitigating the risk of cross contamination.
• Assist with the labeling and packaging of final products when necessary.

Requirements:

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a diverse set of personalities and learning styles
• Must be 21 years or older
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
