The main role of the Kitchen Technician is to assist in the production of edible products, as well as package and label all products in the Root and Bloom stable. This includes, but is not limited to, vape cartridges, edibles, pre-rolls, pre-packed flowers, dabbable extracts, and any new products that are introduced. - Assist kitchen lead and production staff in the production of edible products per Root and Bloom’s SOPs
- Weighing and staging ingredients and product(s)
- Utilizing dishwasher and 3-compartment sink to clean dishes, food-safe containers, utensils, etc.
- Following all company guidelines regarding packaging.
- Identifying defective items.
- Properly using cooking materials and tools.
- Appropriately and accurately filling all forms required by batch.
- Maintaining safe working practices and procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Material waste and logging.

- Cooking equipment (depositor, molds, pots, utensils, etc.)
- Kitchen and storage rooms
- Storage containers
- Any surfaces where food or food products may come into contact
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school education or higher preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Exposed to moving machinery and loud noise.
- Work in hot environments.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, bend, twist, and stretch as needed throughout shift.
- Use cleaning and waste disposal equipment continuously. Exposed to chemicals, fumes, odors, dirt, dust, and moisture
- Frequently pull, push and bend while performing job duties.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry.
- Must have reliable transportation and commute to Salisbury MA
