General Information
Sports & Leisure Services Department - Camp Counselors (OPS)
5502 33rd Ave West
Bradenton Fl 34209
Hours: Mid-May through August, 40 hours per week.
Camp hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Work hours will vary within that time frame.

Our goal is to offer a variety of recreational summer camp opportunities that meet the needs of the community in a safe and fun environment. Camp Counselors (OPS) - Will be responsible for safety and well-being of children, ages 5 and up, in a structured seasonal day camp program. Supervises and instructs children in a variety of recreational activities including sports and games, arts and crafts, swimming, and field trips. Follows activity plans provided by Camp Coordinator, Camp Site Supervisor or Program Lead. Attends assigned field trips. Always interacts positively with participants in the program.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Completion of 11th grade and at least 17 years of age at the time of Summer Camp start date.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
