Calvary Day School is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to work in our Admissions Department and report to our Director of Advancement. The Admissions Coordinator will be a full-time 12-month position working a 40-hour work from the campus of Calvary Day School. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job and candidates should possess a willingness to work irregular and flexible hours at times.


Essential functions may include any of the following duties, knowledge, and skills. This list is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties employees perform in this position. 

  • Scheduling and organization of enrollment activities in collaboration with Calvary divisions, i.e. tours, assessment days, shadow days, open houses, new family events, parent preview days, etc.
  • Respond to all inquiries (mail, email, phone, or in person) from prospective parents and students regarding admission to Calvary.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to counsel and advise parents on every aspect of the admissions process, including application requirements, deadlines, academic programs, activities, and financial aid. 
  • Arrange and schedule tours for prospective parents and assessment/shadow visits for prospective students. 
  • Provide information about the school and its programs/activities to any/all appropriate individuals and institutions.
  • Provide families with the necessary paperwork for admissions and financial aid and assist them as needed.
  • Communicate with the Finance Specialist on families applying for financial aid.
  • Effectively manage database of prospective students. 
  • Send personal thank you cards to families for all stages of enrollment.
  • Gather all needed information and recommendations - follow up with all inquiries from new and existing enrollment. 
  • Manage admissions onboarding schedule and communication.
  • Assist with campus tours as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, this individual must be highly relational and able to perform each essential duty with excellence.  


Candidates should possess a deep commitment to our Christian values, with a demonstrated ability to integrate faith seamlessly into their work daily. 


A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience, preferably in an education environment.


Effective verbal and written communication skills, empathy, and the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with families and students are crucial. 


Demonstrated competency in decision-making, listening and interpersonal skills, results-driven mindset, and the ability to multitask and stay organized.


Strong planning and people reading skills to recruit and retain a diverse student body with mission-fit families.


Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions taking care to keep pertinent information confidential. 


Candidates should be well-versed in the use of technology and open to incorporating AI-driven tools into their daily work practices. Experience with Google Workspace products and an applicant tracking system or learning management system is preferred.

 

At Calvary, we seek faculty members who participate in and view academic advisement as a means to guide students toward excellence but also as an opportunity for spiritual mentorship, contributing to the development of each student spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. This position may have the opportunity to lead a small group of students through advisement and spiritual growth every week.
