CSEA, one of New York State's largest public employee unions, is seeking resumes for a Spanish speaking Member Solutions Specialist for our downtown Albany, NY location to triage inquiries to the Union. The Member Solutions Specialist serves as the voice of CSEA ensuring that every phone contact is member centric, highlighting the value of the Union. Responsibilities include assessing and addressing caller inquiries, redirecting inquiries when needed, responding to members’ and nonmembers questions about membership, insurance programs; assisting nonmembers to become union members; answering officer inquires; may conduct outreach calls; produces and disseminates material in response to member/non member inquiries documents calls and alerts supervisor of trends or call patterns.
Starting salary is $49,348 with excellent benefits including health, vision, and dental coverage; generous paid time off, and defined pension. Qualifications: Spanish language proficiency required. High School diploma or equivalency with 4 years experience in a customer service Call Center, call intake line or as a switchboard operator/receptionist in a high call volume setting or a position involving extensive public contact OR a satisfactory combination of education, customer service related experience, voluntary insurance claims administration or member service work. Strong customer service skills required. Proficient in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office. Union experience preferred.
