Bay Area Therapy Group A Marriage Family Counseling Corporation (BATG) was founded in 2021 with a mission to create a group practice where therapists could focus on providing client services, without having to worry about obtaining clients, scheduling or billing, while receiving a living wage and comprehensive benefits. Our company is run transparently with meetings to review company status. In just two years, we have grown from a single therapist and one intern to almost two dozen clinicians, associates and three support staff.
Position Summary: The position starts as part-time with the option to transition to full-time. The clinician will start PT with an hourly rate of $55.00/client hour without benefits. If the PT clinician wants medical benefits, their premium will be covered 50 percent. The PT clinician needs to hold a minimum of 15 client hours per week by the end of the 1st month from the start date. If the PT clinician wants to convert to FT, their caseload will increase to 33 client hours per week and their salary will be $114,400 with full medical benefits. If the clinician lives within the surrounding area of one of BATG offices, s/he is required to see clients 2 evenings and/or 1 weekend day per week. Employment is conditional on BATG ability to panel the candidate with Kaiser, TriWest and any future payers. Start of employment also will start after the candidate has been credentialed with the above list of insurance companies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, the clinician must be able to perform the following:
- Conduct initial consultations to gather patient's psychosocial information
- Diagnostically assess a patient's emotional and mental health
- Develop a comprehensive treatment plan
- Intervene with emergency care techniques and protocols when patients are in crisis
- Provide referrals for additional care or services when required
- Maintaining detailed confidential records using our Electronic Health Records system
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities unless the clinician agrees to provide clinical supervision to Associates
- Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Masters degree, Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences
- Must be licensed in California
Computer Skills:
- Must be able to proficiently document notes in an EHR system
- Must have experience providing tele-therapy and communicating with clients through our online portal
Additional Requirements:
- The clinician must be paneled with Kaiser, TriWest through our group practice
- An up-to-date CAQH profile
- An NPI number
Ideal Qualifications:
- Multilingual
- Additional state licensures
- Certification or additional training in EMDR, neurofeedback, DBT or Gottman Method therapy
- Specialization in children and adolescents
- Lived and/or extensive professional experience with neurodivergent, LGBTQ, BIPOC and immigration communities
