ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The torque technician is responsible for providing quality assurance support in the areas of torque calibration, torque auditing, tool repairs, and maintenance. Some of the duties of the torque technician are (but not limited to):
- Calibration of torque instruments.
- Update the status of torque locations and conditions in the gaging module.
- Assists with customer service, and walk-ups.
- Performs minor tool repairs.
- Replace Torque Equipment due for certification with current calibrated tools.
- Provide troubleshooting and assistance for online calls.
- Responsible for tracking certifications, cert due, and past due Torque equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
- Good arithmetic skills are required
- Mechanical aptitude desired
- 2+ years of Quality Control experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., calipers, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, etc. a plus but not required.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
