Responsibilities:
- Decorate cakes according to customer requests and specifications
- Use various tools and techniques to create visually appealing designs
- Ensure cakes are properly baked and cooled before decorating
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing food
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Skills:
- Culinary skills: Knowledge of baking, cooking.
- Creativity: Ability to come up with unique and visually appealing cake designs
- Attention to detail: Ability to pay close attention to small details when decorating cakes
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety knowledge: Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in a kitchen or restaurant setting
Note: Previous experience as a cake decorator or in the food industry is preferred required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a passion for baking and decorating.
