Cake Decorator and Baker

The Sweet Tooth Parlor Bakery is seeking a new Lead Cake Decorator and Baker, cake decorating being the main responsibility. This is a family owned business, locally owned in Round Rock. The ideal candidate will have experience in an assortment of cake styles and fondant work. Attention to detail is a must and providing the best experience possible through cakes. Basic knowledge of baking is highly encouraged but we are willing to train if cake decorating skills exceed expectations. This roll will require time management, planning, organizing and maintaining orders on schedule. Other responsibilities may include cookie decorating and cupcakes. Communication is key for this roll as we receive cake orders often and sometimes require extra attention. Schedule would be consistent Tuesday-Saturday, hours may vary to your needs. Closing time is 5pm. No night shifts!

Cake Decorator Responsibilities:    

*Excellent work with fondant

*Buttercream designs- flowers, swirls, writing, color detail, clean lines, and any other designs necessary. 

*Buttercream production, must know how to produce large scale amounts from scratch.

*Basic baking knowledge, cakes from scratch, cookies, and assorted fillings - lemon curd, mousse, etc. 

*Cookie decorating, is a plus but willing to train. 

*Custom cupcakes, different sizes and designs,

*Organize your orders and plan accordingly for your work week.

*Communicate with owner to ensure transparency for every order as well as your team. 

*Cleaning and maintaining work station, keeping inventory of your product. 

*Creativity is highly encouraged.

*Positive and friendly attitude towards peers and customers, there will be times when FOH help is needed. 

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary will range from $18-$20 an hour based on experience. This position is full time, every Sunday/Monday off, as well as all major holidays.
