Position Summary: Responsible for the management of food services, which includes the cafeteria and cook on special center functions in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and food service activities of the department.
Evaluate staff performance, provide staff training, and recommend personnel changes to the director.
Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services. Design and implement staffing schedules that fit the center needs.
Provide appetizing, nutritious and realistically proportioned meals in a clean, comfortable environment.
Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
Conduct inspections of food service areas.
Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; maintain cost control to stay within budget limitations; assist in inventory control.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree and supervisory experience preferred.
Valid serve safe certification and one (1) year related experience required.
Valid driver's license with and acceptable driving record.
