Cafe Assistant

We are a small bakery and cafe in the heart of catonsville, serving up nostalgic pastries and sandwiches. We are very busy on the weekends and need someone who can work every Thursday to Saturday and is a self starter.

The job includes coming in before we open and setting up the bakery, checking out customers, fulfilling drink orders, stocking items , making lattes and espresso based drinks, filling food orders and providing quality customer service that matches our pastries. This position also includes helping with kitchen prep when slow and scrubbing and mopping at the end of the day.

The position is Thursday to Saturday 615 am to 415ish pm, we close at 3pm but cleanup very heavily at the end of the day. This is a very physically demanding position, and there is very little down time.

We have a very small staff who work in close quarters and prefer to work with someone who has a good demeanor and has a good attitude. The tips end up making the position around 22$ - $26/hour. Must have food service experience, and not need to be micromanaged.

Once farmers market season starts in May the position could end up being Sunday as well.

Must have reliable transportation (not Uber or using the bus). Come join our motley crew!
