Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to  Warren three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

This motivated individual will be responsible for developing and validating new simulation methods using computational electromagnetics tools for design, development, and validation of vehicle systems and subsystems.

What You’ll do:

  • Use technical expertise in computational electromagnetics to conceive, plan and lead methods development, validation, and implementation activities, especially for ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) & Interference (EMI).
  • Participate in the design of new products and design improvements to existing products. Provide upfront guidelines and optimize designs using computational electromagnetics software.
  • Add new capabilities and functions to the analytical tools within the area of expertise and apply those tools and knowledge to solve difficult design challenges.
  • Provide expertise in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility, antenna performance, and signal integrity to reduce reliance on physical testing in these areas through computational modeling efforts.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • MS in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of proven academic or industrial experience in development of analysis methods, their implementation and validation
  • Expertise in the application of computational electromagnetics methods is required.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills, resourceful and adaptive with the ability to find ways around obstacles to develop solutions.
  • Strong project management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills to work in a dynamic fast- paced environment

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in EMC/EMI modelling and simulation of EMC components and subsystems for automotive applications
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic testing equipment and methodologies
  • Proficient with computational electromagnetics software such as HFSS, CST Studio Suite, FEKO.
  • Familiarity with meshing tools such as Hypermesh or ANSA
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
