Job Description

CAE, FEA, CFD, Thermal and Structural analysis,
ANSYS - Tool must
- Perform Thermal and Structural analysis on Battery Management Systems (Client)(PCBA) using ANSYS products (ICEPAK,
- Mechanical). Establish temperature thresholds for electronic components considering reliability requirements
- Validate thermal design by prototype testing and correlation. Collect and process empirical data using, thermocouples,
- infrared(IR) cameras, etc
- Discuss simulation and experimental results with the Electronics and Mechanical team. Suggest and help decide design
- changes, TIM selection, PCB design, heatsink and busbar design, etc. Develop design guidelines and apply changes based
- on project learnings
- Design mechanical hardware and fixtures that support multiple product test engineering platforms: Mechanical
- Calibration, Design validation, Thermal testing, EMC testing (Solidworks & CATIA)
- Utilize internal lab facilities and equipment to develop test fixtures, proof of concept and prototypes: Use CNC, Milling machine, 3D printers and other equipment
- Design Electro-Mechanical components used in Li-ion batteries. Utilize product lifecycle management (PLM) software
- tools for releasing designs/drawings and generating engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Support discussions and presentations with customer, suppliers and other groups related to the development of the product assigned.
- Work with other project team members solving difficult problems, developing fundamental understanding, and general process engineering and process understanding that could require measurement, data acquisition and analysis
- Support operations from early engineering development through design validation to ensure successful production intent product design
