This position performs technical drafting support for assigned projects using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. 1-2 years’ experience in both Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus, but not required.  The expectation is that the candidate will be eager to learn and become proficient with the required CAD software packages on the job. The prospective candidate is someone looking to grow in their drafting proficiency and make a career of technical drafting. 

General Responsibilities:

• Creates CAD drawings for engineering projects
• Prepares Plans, Specifications & Estimate (PS&E) documents for projects using Microstation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Use CAD software to layout the geometrical design of projects based on project constraints
• Completes redline markups
• Calculate quantities of materials from construction plans
• Other assigned duties as required

Required Education/Licenses:

• Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

• 1-2 years’ experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation SS4 (preferred, not required)
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers
• Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
