Cad Draftsperson

Experienced AutoCAD architectural drafts-person needed for expanding design build firm.
Must be able to draw plans, elevations, and details for wood framed, reinforced concrete, and steel structures.
This is a great opportunity for drafts-persons interested in elevating their career experience by working on a multitude of commercial, industrial, residential and telecom, projects, with exposure to work reviewed by multiple jurisdictions, including state, local, university, OSHPD, and the DSA.

Experience with architectural drafting for the telecommunications industry is a plus.

We are currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter/Designer. The responsibilities will and include the following…

• Develops AutoCAD drawings with necessary views, sections, and details as directed by the project manager, architect, or engineer.
• Maintain project drawing files, associated records and documentation in an orderly condition.
• Modify communication drawings based on rough sketches, marked-up copies, and/or verbal instructions.
• Create production drawings utilizing materials such as concrete, steel, and wood framed structures from designer/engineers markups and sketches under minimum supervision.
• Must be able to independently read field notes and translate the information to AutoCAD.
• Aid in the production of construction drawings and the development of standard details and standard prototypes at front end of project.
• Modify and/or refine details and prototypes as necessary.
• Optimize efficiency and production.
• Follow schedule of priorities as established by the supervisor.
