Job description

White Sign Company also builds aluminum canopies & awnings, and other architectural projects. We are in search of an individual to assist in our growing company.

The ideal candidate should have 2 plus years of experience in drafting/designing awnings & canopies with Auto-CAD and will be responsible for drafting and designing according to contract specifications. Additionally, the ideal candidate can change direction to meet the needs of production, work with little direction/information and demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.

• Analyze drawings and specifications
• Understand contractual terms and conditions
• Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs
• Draft budgets and schedules for projects for review
• Meet with potential clients to generate sales if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Reviews shop drawings to ensure they are in compliance with contract scope.
• Reviews client redlines, updates shop drawing package, and submits for final approval.
• Works with PM and Shop Manager to document field measurements of site conditions and compare to architectural drawings/shop drawings (catch any coordination items prior to field install).
• Help identify potential quality, material savings, and design cost issues.
• Ability to multi-task, keeping track of multiple project responsibilities, priorities and deadlines at the same time
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings in order to coordinate project needs and conflicts requiring resolution to fulfill the design.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of external professionals and in-house staff.
• Must be organized and able to manage schedules and assigned tasks.
• Clean driving record with a valid license.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00- $20.00 per hour
