COMPANY INFO:
Our client is located in the Boston area and are looking to bring in an experienced CAD Drafter. They are preparing for their best growth year ever and want to hire quickly.
They are a unique company that imports high end marble, granite, quartz, exotic stone & rare building materials for both commercial & residential projects. They are looking for a CAD drafter that is able to read and understand blueprints, provide detailed drawings, and take accurate measurements. This position will report to the Production Engineering Manager and will interact closely and support the project managers and the field teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Produce detailed architectural/millwork CAD drawings from wooden templates, hand sketches, and digital renderings with accurate and clearly labeled measurements and different type of finishes.
- Contribute suggestions that will help us work toward company growth
- Communicate effectively with all team members and managers
- Work well under pressure and think outside the box
- Takes initiative to successfully complete tasks at hand
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A proactive approach and attitude is mandatory.
- Read and understand blueprints with the ability to extract detailed information.
- Proficient in AutoCAD drafting software is a MUST
- Able to take quality photos and complete photo layouts.
- Adept using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid communication skills and strong work ethic
- Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and develop best practices
- Take on new roles and responsibilities
- Able to adapt to new changes
- Being able to visit the jobsites and travel is a MUST
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft software is a PLUS
