Pay Range

$66,600.00-$91,600.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Position Overview
The purpose of the CAD Designers role is to provide graphical support to Contractors and Design Professionals associated with Johns Manville. The individual holding this position will be responsible for generating sheet layouts, custom CAD details for unique field conditions, and other similar documents.

Your Day-to- Day:

  • Interprets existing conditions and develops custom CAD details
  • Generates system specific sheet layouts based on building design criteria
  • Acts as an overflow when Tapered Design team requires additional aid
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

  • High school diploma GED with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of construction industry, Commercial roofing preferred
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Proficient in Computer Aided Design CAD related software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to read, scale and understand architectural plans
  • Proven math skills including knowledge of geometry and algebra
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of common construction materials and building design methods
  • Working knowledge of drafting and welding standards
  • Minimal travel required 0 -10 days per year
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds
  • Work environment is typical of an office setting.
