CACFP Cook Full & Part-time

SUMMARY

National Enrichment Group is seeking a temporary to permanent cook for a child care center - part-time and full-time positions available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare and clean up meals at a daycare facility
• Prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for children
• Order food based on menu and expected attendance
• Maintain a clean kitchen workspace, store food according to NYC DOHMH guidelines and serve food hygienically
• Ensure enough food is available each day and that each meal is CACFP compliant
• Interact with children and model appropriate food handling and eating etiquette
• Ability to cover for other cooks when out sick or on vacation
• Team play is IMPORTANT - ability and desire to cover in classroom, if needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a kitchen
• NYC Food Handler's Certificate / Card
• Knowledge of CACFP rules a PLUS

HOURS, LOCATION & SCHEDULE

• Location: Harlem (2 locations)
• Standard PT or FT Work Week: 8am-1pm or 8am - 3pm, dependent on program need

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
