Cable Tray Welder- 2Nd & 3Rd Shifts

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is searching for Cable Tray Welders at our location in Sherman, TX. In this role, you will be operating production equipment specifically for the welding and fabrication of products. 2 shifts are available (2nd Shift Hours: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm,3rd Shift Hours: 8:00 pm - 4:00 am). The rate for this position is $20.38 per hour plus a shift differential of $.60 per hour on 2nd shift and $.40 per hour on 3rd shift. What you’ll do:

• Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.

• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.

• ID and tag shop orders with the product.Retrieve/enter data into the system.

• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.

• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.

• Weld components based on print specifications.

• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Must have at least of one (1) year MIG welding

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a fifty-mile radius of the Sherman, TX facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Weld Certified

• 2-3 years MIG/TIG Welding

• Minimum of one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools

• Basic computer skills

Position Criteria:

• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.

• Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG

• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending with or without accommodation

• Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks

• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools

• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail

• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product

• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate

• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business

• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)

• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
