Summary:
We are looking for a Cable Infrastructure Engineer Journeyman.
Essential Job Functions:
- Are required to solve technical engineering problems relating to secure and non-secure voice, video, data, and radio frequency Cable Infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining IT wiring diagrams.
- Solving issues related to cables and networks.
- Testing and terminating cables.
- Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of designing complex cable plans for telecommunication systems, including the layout structures for equipment installations, as well as expanding existing cabling systems.
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with ability to perform and lead work independently.
- Structured problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent years of related experience.
- At least 3 - 5 years of related experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance
