Primary Responsibilities
- Performs complex assembly duties in accordance with drawings, travelers and manufacturing procedures.
- Operates shop hand tools, microscope, solder irons and ultra sonic cleaner.
- Uses spooling equipment to measure and cut wire.
- Uses test meters to check quality of the assembled cables and connectors.
- Operates label machines in accordance with operator's manual.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Assists other assemblers as needed, in order to meet shipping demands.
- Assembles miniature cables, using standard connectors such as 10-32, BNC & TNC, MIL-STD Connectors.
- Flexible and capable of processing more complex cable assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Trouble shoots cable assemblies.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in assembly.
- Must be to read and understand assembly drawings.
- Advanced schematic reading and ability to trouble shoot cable assemblies.
- Advanced reading, writing and shop math skills.
- Experience soldering miniature parts under a microscope.
- Use of simple hand tools such as crimpers and ovens.
- IPC-A-620 certification.
- Good hand and eye dexterity.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a local candidate
Salary Range
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
