Cabinet Shop Foreman

Lami Wood Products, a family owned and operated cabinet and countertop manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to join our Cabinet Shop team. Our company has been in business in the ST. Louis market for over 45 years supplying contractors, builders and homeowners with commercial and residential cabinetry. We are growing our business and we need talented people to help us take the next step.

We are looking for an individual who has experience as a Shop Foreman or the right person looking for an opportunity to grow into a leadership role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Experience with woodworking machinery and various hand tools
• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills
• Quality Control: Ensure cabinet quality by inspecting completed work
• Review drawings for specs on cabinet layouts as provided by supervisor
• Ability to read and understand architectural and shop fabrication drawings
• Create cabinetry from a variety of materials, including wood and laminate
• Ensures shop is neat, clean and organized at all times
• Communicate and collaborate well with other cabinet makers and project managers

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years experience in woodworking, cabinetry and millwork construction
• Knowledge of entire cabinet design and building process
• Experience with air tools and electric table saws
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain detail oriented and maintain quality standards
• Thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
• Maintain a positive culture in workplace
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience with CNC a plus
• Finishing experience is a plus
