Job Summary:

The Cabinet Maker Helper / Millwork Helper will assist experienced Cabinet Makers with the production of high-end custom millwork cabinets for our diverse customer base, including corporate offices, sports facilities, schools, law firms, museums, etc. A successful helper should have woodworking skills, knowledge of woodworking machinery, a strong attention to detail, and a desire to learn the trade. This is a full-time position with opportunity for overtime. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist Cabinet Makers with the production of high-end millwork items.
• Be willing to learn the trade from experienced millworkers.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine appropriate materials and tools required to complete the job.
• Cut, shape, and join materials to create wood cabinets.
• Operate relevant woodworking tools, including saws, drills, routers, sanders, etc.
• Install hardware to cabinets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a wood shop.
• Skilled in the use of woodworking tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to make precise measurements.
• Desire to learn a new trade.
