OPPORTUNITY
The selected candidate for this position will be an integral member of the Counseling and College Persistence Team, leading the organization's expansion of Dual Enrollment programs, College and Career Access Pathways, and Career Technical Education.
This is a Central Office position which will require travel between schools and the Central Office. The College & Career Access Pathways Coordinator works year-round and is a grant-funded position ending on June 30, 2026.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
> In collaboration with Senior Director of Counseling and College Persistence
> Assist with the development of sustainable and replicable dual-enrollment, college and Career Access Pathways, and CTE programs that can be launched throughout the network
> Develop feedback mechanisms that teams can utilize to improve and update college and career pathways
> Serve as a liaison between schools, government agencies, and higher education partners
> Coordinate relationships with corporate, non-profit, community college, university, and rigorous gap year program partners to implement initiatives that promote and enhance postsecondary and Career Access and success for GDPSC students
> Progress monitor accountability standards and program/pathway goals partners, schools sites and relevant stakeholders
> Prepare and submit reports as needed to meet reporting requirements and other
programmatic needs
> Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to track and share outcomes across initiatives
> Coordinate with Central Office communications and operations teams to develop collateral to promote awareness of program and services in order to meet program recruitment targets
> In collaboration with the Counseling and College Persistence, Finance, Education, Development, Data Analytics teams, establish and drive short- and long-term strategies for scale and sustainability of the program within and outside of existing regions
> In collaboration with the Senior Director of Counseling and College Persistence design, develop and lead innovative pilot programs leveraging external partnerships to effectively and sustainably drive college and career success outcomes
> Lead partner strategy, assess the strength and potential of existing and prospective partnerships and negotiate Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) that will benefit GDPSC students
> Lead professional development and coaching for school teams related to partnership development and success management.
> Oversee the development of program activities with GDPSC middle and high schools that support the program goals. Oversight includes negotiation of sub-contracts, ensuring partners complete vendor certification, COI, and MOUs and approval of all expenditures, approval of changes to activities, and enforcement of policies in place to ensure compliance with related regulations.
> Participate in Green Dot and individual professional development programs
> Attend and participate in all team meetings and professional development sessions
> Plan and participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with Sr. Director of Counseling & College Persistence
QUALIFICATIONS
As an ideal candidate, you:
> have a bachelor's degree in any discipline (required)
> hold a valid School Counseling PPS or teaching credential (required)
> have a minimum of five years of experience working in a leadership-related and/or management role in secondary or postsecondary education
> have a minimum of two years of successful work experience in delivering educational support services to disadvantaged students, preferably with educational equity or college access program is preferred
> possess basic knowledge of high school graduation and college entrance requirements
> possess basic knowledge of academic programs, including curricula and admissions requirements at higher education institutions
> possess basic knowledge of higher education institutions (UC, CSU, CC, Private Colleges), and the ability to explain procedures to youth, parents, and school representatives
> possess basic knowledge working with a diverse student population, and sensitivity to culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
> have strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, & written communication skills (required)
> are able to organize and plan complex projects and activities
> are able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
> can exhibit flexibility and high social-emotional competence
> are able to establish rapport and relationships with high school personnel, students, families, community members, university departments and faculty members
> are dependable, humble, have a sense of humor and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dot's mission and the communities we serve
> will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $102,000. Opportunities for salary growth are available over time; however, offers near the upper end of the salary range are uncommon. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers. In addition, if hired by June 30, 2024, this position qualifies for a one-time $2,500 signing bonus, paid in two installments after months 6 and 12 of employment (subject to change).
