Job description

The C2M/CCS/CCB/MDM Instructional Designer will serve as the training/change management point of contact between the client and Red Clay. The Instructional Designer will facilitate the assessment of needed training, development of training strategies, content and delivering of effective learning methodology and tools through various channels (video, text, web, etc.) for identified resources both internally and externally. The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing and delivering training through a variety of methods to meet the needs of a dynamic work environment. They provide expertise associated with product and process definition for business process use. The Instructional Designer will provide analysis of new/forming business processes and procedures to produce high quality end-user change/training documentation through strong partnerships and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise around product definition and various uses.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering functional and system training through a variety of methods to meet the needs of a dynamic project /client or internal work environment.
  • Provides analysis of enhanced/new feature sets and/or newly formed business processes to produce strategic planning and renders high quality end-user documentation.
  • Maintains curriculum and training assets in multiple channels (video, text, web, etc.).
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Participates in project delivery and contributes to change management by identifying key impacts, developing training to support the project team end-users through implementation.
  • Plans and facilitates the daily activities of training, both internally and externally.
  • Reviews, monitors, and reports on trainee progress.
  • Reviews existing training curriculum to suggest enhancements and modifications for improvement to engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of client, the organization, or the industry.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization, client, and/or industry.
  • Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of Oracle applicable product(s) (C2M/CCS/CCB/MDM) and training processes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate prior experience delivering Oracle product training (C2M/CCS/CCB/MDM)
  • Requires five years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes using applications software (such as Oracle C2M, CCB or MDM) with strong product knowledge and familiarity with utility industry business processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education/communication or related field is recommended.
  • Highly proficient in communicating complex concepts in tangible, easily understood terms.
  • Strong critical thinking, verbal/written communication, and robust facilitation skills.
  • Ability to moderate large groups with people skills for effective coaching.
  • Exceptionally organized and meticulous.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in high-pressure situations.
  • Candidate should possess a progressive, dynamic attitude toward solving problems and collaborating with team members, internal and external.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job.
  • The employee must always maintain an elevated level of professionalism.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some night and weekend work may be required. Work Environment is professional remote environment. This role will require periodic travel to support client implementation.
