C-Store Assistant Manager - Hector - Holiday Franchise

General Summary: The Assistant C-Store Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the store in the absence of the C-Store Manager and otherwise supports the C-Store Manager in all facets of running the store including register, merchandising, layout, cooking, inventory, bookkeeping, and maintenance.

Essential Functions:

• Review, oversee, assign, and follow up on daily work lists/tasks of C-Store Clerks
• Supervise the sale of all retail goods and services including money-drop procedures
• Oversee all food service areas and preparation in accordance with food standards Review, update, and correct retail pricing on all retail items
• Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, management, and supervision of C-Store Clerks in Managers absence
• Assist in the planning and preparation of work schedules and coordination of daily assignments and activities of associates to meet the needs of the business
• Perform open and close processes as needed
• Oversee cash register operations performing drawer closings and manage lottery processes
• Receive, verification, and process merchandise and vendor shipments
• Order merchandise to maintain proper inventory levels of product
• Oversee and/or stock, and display merchandise and supplies
• Perform functions of c-store clerk as needed

Educations/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED, combined with sufficient on-the-job experience to know the processes and variables to accurately manage a convenience store/retail store. Minimum of 5 years of retail/store experience. Proficient in computer usage including POS systems and the Internet.

Environment: Regular work schedules. However, overtime may be required if necessary to complete projects or specialized training. This position works majority in a climate-controlled office and rarely in extreme heat or cold. No travel is required.

Physical: This position is defined as Medium. Work involves exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, and feet to complete tasks. Walking or standing to a significant degree.

Job Type: Full-time/part-time

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8-hour shift
• Evening shift: 2 pm - 10 pm CST
• Every other weekend 4 am - 2 pm CST

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
